Dear loved ones,

“You mean a lot to us.” -Jesiel and Priscilla

Jesiel and Pricilla attended our first kids camp at our facility in 2008. They are pictured above left playing a mean game of soccer in said camp. I remember Pricilla running circles around the competition! The picture above right is them too! They got a kick out of the pictures I showed them of our 1st camp. They were both team leaders in our teen camp this year. By the way young ladies, you mean a lot to us too.

“You’re never going to get rid of us!” -Libny and Merari

One of my favorite memories of camps past came a few years back when Merari won top camper. There were a couple things that stood out to me about that moment. Merari was young to win that honor, but she worked for it. She was shocked and the tears rolled. Another thing that stood out was the love that her older sister displayed for her. It was beautiful. Libny and Merari took leadership rolls in our camps this year and were a great help. Merari was shocked again. She worked for it.

One of my favorite memories this year came before our kids camp. I went to pick up about 16 people, ended up with 25 in the van. There was a young lady that is well along, with two in tow. She got the front seat.

“I have many fond memories of camp.” she said. “Now I’m bringing mine.” – Karolina

Praise Report!

They were back to back! Whew. We hosted 148 for teens camp and 85 for kids camp.

Introducing the grandcampers! Each of the children pictured directly above are 2nd generation campers.

“I’ve never done this.” said Axel. “I don’t even know how to get them to listen to me.”

We encouraged him that this was a good opportunity for him to grow and that he could lead the team. Axel stepped up.

Prayer request:

We’ve come a long ways with the wall and sidewalks etc…but there is a ways to go to get the front entrance and wall complete. These are a high priority this year. We need to get this closed up. I hope to work on these needed advances this summer.  Please pray for the provision to keep things moving, along with the strength, wisdom and patience necessary in advancing.

Spencers’ family mission got extended!

We nearly broke ourselves didn’t we Spence? Well, it sure seemed that way didn’t it. Hey Jerad, how was your vacation?? Lots of cement and shoveling huh? Sarah and the kids made about 39 bed bases for camp, and moved rocks…lots of rocks. Thank you all for this great effort! And then we kept the Spencers through our camps too!  Have your fingers recovered from the crafts yet Sarah?

And Grandma Mary made it down from Minnesota, she’s otherwise known as Cupcakes Grandma. She broke the record this year! God bless you all. You mean a lot to us.

One generation shall praise Your works to another, and declare Your mighty acts. -Psalm 145:4

Keep smiling. And love from, Gary and Minnie and Sophia, along with all your family in Mexico.
